Missing Mom, Son Found Safe In Roswell; Man Charged With Kidnapping
A mother and her 4-year-old son who disappeared from Sloan Street were found safe Wednesday, police said.
ROSWELL, GA — A mother and her 4-year-old son who were at the center of a Levi's Call Wednesday were found safe, and a man has been taken into custody in connection with their disappearance, Roswell Police said.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation issued a Levi's Call for 32-year-old Ashley Vick and her son. Police said they were last seen around 6 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Sloan Street and were considered endangered.
However, police said the duo was found safe shortly after 1 a.m. Police did not reveal the circumstances surrounding the disappearance of the mother and son.

Vick's partner, Brian Betenia, was taken into custody by the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office after a brief car chase, police said.
Betenia was charged on suspicion of two counts of kidnapping and two counts of possession of child sexual abuse material in connection with a prior ongoing probe by Roswell Police's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, police said. He was also charged in the Forsyth police chase, police said.

Betenia faces additional charges of 12 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material, following his July arrest in Roswell, police said. He is currently being held in the Forsyth County Jail, police said.
"We are deeply grateful to the GBI, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, our media partners and the members of the public who immediately called in tips in response to the Levi’s call, all of whom worked together to bring about the quick recovery of everyone involved," police said in a news release.
