  1. The most recent firemen to join the Roswell FD completed their Apparatus Operator Pumper (AOP) licensing evaluations last week. They completed a skills checklist and evaluation. One of the skills test requires an individual to back the fire engine into a narrow space without striking any cones. This test is a prerequisite to be able to drive a fire department vehicle on roadways. (facebook.com)
  2. A list of the the cities in Georgia with the most expensive homes was compiled by using data from Zillow. The Atlanta/Metro area, which includes Sandy Spring and Roswell, was No.1. More specifically, as an individual city, Roswell ranked No. 13 in the state. As of June 2022, the average price for a home in Roswell is $615,741. (thegeorgiasun.com)
  3. The motorist who fatally struck a jogger in Roswell on July 13 was given a pre-trial release after posting bond. His arraignment is scheduled for September. The victim leaves behind two sons. Her family has created a GoFundMe page to help pay for medical and other expenses. (appenmedia.com)

  • Roswell Rotary Club: Alicia Hughes and W.S. Nielson Co, Inc. donated a Silver Sponsorship to the Roswell Rotary. This gift will sponsor the 2022 Roswell Rotary Aubrey Greenway Golf Tournament in September. Sponsorship opportunities are still available. (Roswell Rotary Club via Facebook)
  • The MARTA Reach: Marta has launched a new 6-month ride-share pilot program. The MARTA Reach app is available in Alpharetta. MARTA Reach has routes in Alpharetta that normal MARTA buses cover. This service is less expensive than typical rideshare services. (appenmedia.com)
