Here are the top three stories in Roswell today:
- Roswell High School has announced the welcoming of its new principal. LaToya Miley began as principal in June. The Roswell High School PTSA and the Roswell Rotary Club hosted a Meet and Greet for her at the Alive in Roswell event Thursday. Let's join with the Hornets in welcoming their new principal for the 2022-2023 school year. (facebook.com)
- The City of Roswell announced Thursday that it will be conducting scheduled system maintenance. Telephone and online services will be offline and inaccessible. The system will be down from July 23 through July 25. The services effected will be telephone and online payments and services. Payments setup through auto pay will not be affected. (roswellgov.com)
- Fulton County Schools will host two back-to-school events this year to encourags families to get prepared for the 2022-2023 school year. Titled First Day Fulton, these community prep rallies will be held for both North and South Fulton County students. Here in North Fulton, the event will be held on July 30 at North Springs High School. Parents will also be able to register their children onsite for the new school year. (thegeorgiasun.com)

- Henning von Schmeling the senior director of Operations for the Unity Garden at the Chattahoochee Nature Center spoke at the Roswell Rotary's After Hours club. He gave a lot of useful information on wildlife, seeds, and vegetables. (facebook.com)
- Roswell PD hosted public training course called CRASE (Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events). It aims to teach the community knowledge and tactics to keep safe in the event of active attacks. The tactics taught were to avoid, deny, and defend. (Roswell Police Department via Facebook)
- Thursday was National Hot Dog Day. The Original Hot Dog Factory in Alpharetta had a grand celebration of the occasion. Featured on Real Housewives of Atlanta, this restaurant has one-of a kind and over-the-top hot dog creations. Stop by the Halcyon to try one of these unique dogs. (foxfiveatlanta.com)
