During this spooky month, some things might go bump in the night but in the Nature Exchange, things are definitely glowing in the dark. Visit the glowing cavern and discover common nature and household items that light up the night! You won’t want to miss our Harvest on the Hooch Fundraiser for the Unity Garden on October 13th!

If you are searching for a unique Halloween adventure, we have the event for you. Take your child on a well-lit hike through the forest to meet woodland creatures and hear about their lives. It’s the perfect non-scary alternative to traditional Halloween events all while supporting CNC. Join us for a full evening of fun activities!
Admission: $9, Children 2 and under are free (Trails are not suitable for strollers.)
Ticket sales begin at 6:30 PM each night and end at 9:00 PM. Don’t Forget: Groups of 10 or more may also purchase tickets in advance beginning October 1. Chattahoochee Nature Center Members can purchase their tickets in advance beginning october 1st!

FALL BREAK OUT- Family Programs You’ll Want to Jump Into When School Is Out!
October 7 & 8, or October 14 & 15, 11am-12pm, All Ages
Break out of the school routine! Jump into seriously fun science investigations with the Bio-Buggies on Mondays, October 7 & 14. Get crafty on Tuesday, October 8 and create a fabulous fall nature craft. Entertain your imagination on Tuesday, October 15 as you build Fairy Houses and Gnome Homes. Included with General Admission.

River Canoe Trips – Last Regular Trips of the Season!
Saturdays & Sundays, October 5, 6, 12, 13, 4:30pm, This is it! A perfect time to step into a canoe and see the fall colors starting to change! Each trip is led by a CNC naturalist and offers a unique opportunity to enjoy the Chattahoochee River. Ages 6 - adult, $30 General Public/$25 CNC Members, Advance Registration Required.

Home by Dark Concert Series, Friday, October 4 at 8pm
JAMES CASTO, SABRINA, & JOE WEST WITH SAXOPHONIST MATT BLANCHARD & B3/KEYS/ACCORDION KING JIM HETTINGER
Hosted by Georgia-based singer songwriter James Casto, this series has grown into one of the most popular events we have. At each show, James welcomes some of America’s best songwriters and musicians performing in a Nashville-style songwriters-in-the-round format.
You’ll hear the stories behind the songs and enjoy acoustic music in its purest form, performed by the writers. Concert starts at 8 pm, arrive at 6:30 pm, and bring food and beverages to enjoy an incredible night of music under the Ben Brady Pavilion on the beautiful grounds of the Chattahoochee Nature Center in Roswell.

Harvest on the Hooch- A Unity Garden Spectacular
Presented by Whole Foods Market
Garden Party With Food Prepared By Local Chefs 3-6 pm
Join us for a beautiful fall afternoon dedicated to wholesome fresh gourmet food prepared by local chefs.
While raising critically needed funds for the Center’s Unity Garden, Harvest on the Hooch will feature local chefs preparing fresh tapas style appetizers and delicious dishes, emphasizing the connection between good nutrition and health!
The Unity Garden has donated over 12 tons of fresh produce, with the help of community volunteers, to our local food pantry. Local wine and beer and wholesome Whole Foods Market hors d’oevres and desserts will be complete the dining experience in this beautiful farm to table setting.
Dress is 'garden chic.' An exciting silent auction and the opportunity to watch Chefs prepare food on site after you tour the bountiful Unity Garden complete this unique event focused on bringing attention to the farm to table movement. Live music with the talented Fulton County Ramblers strolling through the garden; adorable farm animals from alpacas to chickens plus garden games complete the garden theme.
