  1. On January 7, Roswell Police responded to a disturbance call on Bowen Road. The caller reported that there were approximately 57 uproarious and rowdy teenagers at his home. The incident began when the homeowner hosted a sixteenth birthday party for his daughter, and about 70 high school-aged youth showed up. When the homeowner told the kids to leave, a group of the boys proceeded to break glass and shattered two glass planters. As some of the kids exited in their vehicles, someone threw a half-full can of beer, which hit him in his face. The daughter told the responding officers that she didn't know some of the boys who came and didn't how people found out about the party. She stated that some of the teens may be upperclassmen at a another school. The father did not wish to press charges at the time of the incident. (appenmedia.com)
  2. Roswell's Eagles Nest Church is the new owner of Centennial Village shopping center located on Holcomb Bridge Road in East Roswell. The $13 million purchase was made on December 30. The church purchased the 15-acre property from Rothenberg-Rosenfield, a New York based real estate firm. "While the site will become home to Eagles Nest Church, it won’t be a typical church campus” says Lee Jenkins, the senior pastor of Eagles Nest Church. He wants to to remodel the site and plans to construct a multipurpose event facility that includes an auditorium. Church services be held on Sundays and the public can rent the space for other activities on other days of the week. (newsbreak.com)
  3. Ace Pickleball Club Founder and CEO Jay Diederich and the Co-Founder and President Joe Sexton offer a unique take on the game of pickleball. Their indoor pickleball facilities offer between eight to sixteen regulation size pickleball courts, a climate controlled environment, exhilarating music, live streaming and instant replay on the court, as well as social and event space. Diederich and Sexton will start to offer franchises to be developed across the across the nation in February of 2023. A Roswell franchise will be the first to open. The Ace Pickleball Club is a family-friendly environment, that looks like a gym rather than a restaurant. A date for the opening of the Roswell location was not noted. (prnewswire.com)
