  1. The Roswell PD are alerting residents to be cautious of pine straw scammers who are targeting the area. These scammers are going door-to door to offer to lay pine straw for homeowners. They quote one price before the work is started, then charge thousands of dollars more afterwards. The Roswell PD are advising residents to hire reputable workers only. The city requires solicitors to have a permit, and they are required to show the permit upon being asked. (wsbradio.com)
  2. An ATM robbery occurred at the Regions Bank on Woodstock Road in Roswell. Video surveillance was provided to police that showed the incident take place. There are three male suspects shown in surveillance footage. The thieves made off with approximately between $100,000-$200,000 from the ATM heist. (appenmedia.com)
  3. An upcoming local "Girls' Night Out" will also serve as a charity event for The Drake House in Roswell. This affair will be hosted by the Sandy Springs Perimeter Chamber Women’s Business Network. In addition to an evening of drinks and networking, members of this group are asked to bring gently used women's clothing, accessories, and shoes for donation.   • The Alpharetta Arts Center: The Alpharetta Arts Center will host the Colors of India art exhibit. The works displayed express the history and culture of India. The artists showcased are artists as members of the India American Cultural Association. (awesomealpharetta.com)
  • The Roswell Police Department: The Roswell PD, along with Revved Up Kids, are sponsoring a self-defense workshops for children and teen girls. These workshops will also teach safety skills. The class will be held at Roswell Area Park on August 6. (facebook.com)
