Those who donate $25 to the cause can receive a Law Enforcement Torch Run t-shirt or hat. - After 20 years of service, Dr. Kathryn M. Teston, has announced her plans to retire from her position as the Head of Fellowship Christian School. She has been the head of school for the past 11 years, and has intentions to officially retire on June 30, 2024. The school's board praises Teston for her impeccable tenure at the school. Fellowship Christian School will collaborate with Carter Baldwin, a consulting firm, to perform a national search for their next head of school. - On January 21, a woman reported to Roswell Police that she was assaulted by a man who lived in the woods on Alpharetta Highway near Hospital Boulevard. She told responding officers that she got into an argument with the man and was subsequently elbowed in the eye. Officers said that the woman was swaying, appeared intoxicated, but did have bruising around her eye. The man denied being the cause of her injuries. Roswell Police left the scene, but returned after receiving more calls from the woman. She said she had been punched in the face, in which officers did notice visible swelling. The man was arrested, taken to the Fulton County Jail, and was booked for simple battery. (appenmedia.com)
- Another student-athlete from the city of Roswell has committed to a school to continue their academic and athletic career. Jayven Hall is a "three-star linebacker" with the Roswell High School Hornets. Numerous Power Five schools wanted Hall to join their athletic departments, and received almost 30 offers from colleges and universities around the nation. His new home will be Marshall University. The head coach, Charles Huff, announced his signees from the Class of 2023 on National Signing Day. (herdzone.com)
