- Trying to find parking in downtown Roswell can be pretty hectic and at times, parking is non-existent. In November residents of Roswell will have a chance to improve this issue. One of the three bond referendums that are to be voted upon in November will be to build a new parking deck in the downtown area. Voters will decide if they would like to build a parking deck downtown and if they would like to pay for the $20 million project with taxpayer money. (wsbtv.com)
- Roswell City Council agreed to amend specific language in the Unified Development Code in reference to self-service storage use. This change will replace the term of "permitted use" to "limited use" for self- service storage usage in the industrial light zoning districts. The updated language in the code specifically details the changes that reflect limited use for storage facilities in Roswell. ( The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
- A black bear was cited in roaming in several areas in Alpharetta. Police received several calls regarding bear sightings in different neighborhoods off Highway 9. The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety said, according to the sightings, the bear is moving south. Residents are advised to be extremely cautious. (sports.yahoo.com)
