Ralph Moonshower's Funeral to be Held Tuesday

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 15 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Northside Chapel.

Ralph E. Moonshower, 73, of Roswell, died on Friday, April 12, according to his Northside Chapel obituary.

Moonshower was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1939 to the late Robert W. & Myla E. Michael Moonshower. He was a proud veteran of the Air Force, serving from 1956 to 1961. Following that, he worked 35 years for NCR, retiring in 1997. 

Moonshower was a true problem-solver and could fix almost anything, whether it be mental, technical or mechanical. Many consider him to have been an "amazing influence" in their lives. Over the years he blessed family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and acquaintances with his strong family values and his terrific sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife Carol Ann Roper, to whom he was married for 55 years; his brothers, Rex & Mike Moonshower of Ohio City, OH; his five children, Daniel & wife Sharon and five children (Clinton,UT), Daniel’s former wife Patricia G. Ducote (Walker, LA) & four children, Gary & wife Linda and three children (Combine, TX), Craig, & former wife Karen and three children (Roswell, GA), Todd & companion/caregiver Jan, Vicki & Derrick Amar and three children (Roswell, GA); five great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. His strong and loving example will carry on through generations.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 15 from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Road in Roswell. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 11 a.m. at Northside Chapel Funeral Directors, with interment services at 1 p.m. at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
