River Eves Elementary School To Host Open House

From River Eves Elementary School: River Eves Elementary welcomes rising kindergarteners along with their family and child care providers to the Annual Kindergarten Roundup at the school, located at 9000 Eves Rd., on Thursday, March 23 from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

At the open house, the future kindergarteners may tour classrooms, learn about special programs, meet the kindergarten teachers, board a yellow school bus and learn safety tips from bus drivers, then enjoy a snack in the cafeteria. The school staff will discuss the curriculum for the STEM-certified school, distribute information packets and answer questions.

River Eves became a STEM-certified school in 2015 and added an aquaponics laboratory over the winter. The school has earned numerous accolades, including three Reward School Titles for Highest-Performing Title I School and is ranked among the top 5 percent of Title I schools in the state by the Georgia Department of Education.
