Roswell Arts Festival On Sept. 15-16

The two-day festival will be held at Roswell's Town Square.

ROSWELL, GA — Organizers are putting the final touches on the 52nd annual Roswell Arts Festival, which will be held this weekend at the city's Town Square park.

This two-day celebration of fine arts, original arts and family-friendly fun will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 and Sunday, Sept. 16 at the park at 610 Atlanta Street.

Entertainment featuring local singers and dance companies will kick off at noon on each day. Other activities that will be in on hand include children's painting, sand art and balloon animals, just to name a few. Of course, be sure to come with an appetite, as a number of food trucks will be on hand to satisfy your culinary cravings.

To accommodate this popular festival, the city of Roswell will implement road closures. Mimosa Boulevard will be closed from Park Square to Ga. 120 from 5 a.m. Saturday through 9 p.m. Sunday. For those traveling southbound on Mimosa Boulevard, you can access Highway 9 using the newly-created one-way Oxbo Way.

Northbound access to Mimosa Boulevard will also be prohibited, as the road will be closed at Ga. 120. Bulloch Avenue will be open via the driveway to Bulloch Hall on Ga. 120, as shown in the map provided by the city below. Vehicles may exit Bulloch Avenue at Mimosa to access Ga. 120. This route is also for ADA access to the event and shuttle drop off.

The Roswell Arts Festival is presented by the Roswell Recreation Association, an all-volunteer group that raises funds for the city's Recreation and Parks programs. Since 1966, the Association has donated more than $1 million towards various projects in the city. Money has been used to help purchase park land, playground equipment, install spraygrounds, introduce meditative gardens and other initiatives.
