Roswell Freshman Crowned Miss Teen India Georgia

Crystal Favorito, a 14 year old freshmen at Roswell’s Centennial High School, has received a variety of pageant awards recently. She won the teen division of the Miss India Georgia pageant in October of last year. From there she went to the Miss Teen India USA pageant in New Jersey where she was awarded First Runner Up and Miss Congeniality in December.

The pageants include segments for American evening gowns, talent, Indian gowns and a question and answer period for finalists. Each participant must have at least one parent of Indian heritage to qualify.

Crystal considers these recognitions as the most amazing experiences of her life so far. Her pageant successes have led her into fashion modeling, photography and hostess activities as she aspires to be a neurosurgeon. Crystal has worked hard to maintain a straight-A average throughout her school career. She is currently a CPR-certified member of the student HOSA health care organization.

Crystal is trained in classical Indian dancing and performed a traditional Kathak dance for her talent segment.
