Roswell Community Church Opens In New Home

Roswell Community Church's new facility includes a 400-seat worship area, meeting rooms, gathering space and a children's wing.

ROSWELL, GA — Roswell Community Church last month celebrated the grand opening of its new home in the Mansell Commons shopping center.

Located at 1011 Mansell Road across from Walmart, the new facility features a 400-seat worship area, welcome and gathering space, meeting rooms for outreach and discipleship training, children’s wing for Sunday morning ministry programs, and a youth area complete with a rock-climbing wall built by church members.

Before opening the new facility, the church was under a multi-year lease for space it was using for Sunday morning services, with its church office space housed at a separate location. In early 2018, when it learned there would not be an option to extend the lease for the Sunday morning services, the church embarked on a nine-month journey to secure a new, more permanent space by the end of the year, which included a capital campaign to raise nearly $900,000.

“It has been absolutely incredible to watch God open door after door for us throughout this process, providing everything from the space itself to the funding to make it happen, and all within our very short time frame,” said Matt Miller, lead pastor of Roswell Community Church. “We had every assurance along the way that He was in control and leading us, and it’s been exciting to see the way in which that has impacted our community.”

The build out of the new space started in June, and was completed in roughly five months, which allowed RCC to hold its first Sunday service in the facility on Nov. 11. The church’s hope for the new space is for it to become an extension of its culture within the community — one that’s focused on worshiping together, engaging in community, and living life on mission.

“We desire this space to be inviting and welcoming to visitors, provide opportunities to respond to the needs of the local community, and become the central hub for teaching and multiplying disciples within our community,” Miller added. “We are excited about this next step in the life of our church and look forward with great anticipation for what God has in store in the coming years.”

To continue the celebration of its new space, Roswell Community Church is inviting the community to its Christmas Eve service, which will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. Child care will be provided for nursery through Pre-K during the service.
