- The Roswell Cultural Arts Center has a complete itinerary lined up to celebrate the holiday season through the arts. There is something for everyone and for all ages. To continue in the holiday merriment, the center will also have showings of the puppet show, Trouble in Toyland with Lee Bryan, who is known as “That Puppet Guy.” His show will run from Thursday, December 15 until Sunday, December 17. On Saturday, December 17 a special and unique production, The Grinch Remixed, will be performed by the Roswell Dance Starz. Dolly Parton fans and admirers are in for a special treat. - A new symbol is being used to raise awareness of the dangers of holiday fires. The Roswell Fire Department will be using a wreath for this symbol of awareness and precaution. The amount of structure fires increases during winter months, and especially the holiday season. Fires are commonly and unintentionally started by cooking accidents, candles, space heaters, decorations, as well as the improper use of electrical cords. The Fire Department will hang a wreath that is lit with green light bulbs. The wreath will be displayed at special city events and in the Roswell FD Headquarters. If a structure fire breaks out in the city, RFD will replace a green bulb with a red bulb. Roswell residents are urged to “keep the wreath green” during the month of December. (thegeorgiasun.com)
