2 Elderly Women Critically Injured In Roswell Hit-And-Run: Police
The crash was reported in the 2400 block of Roxburgh Drive at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
ROSWELL, GA — Roswell Police arrested and charged a 17-year-old driver from Norcross in connection with a hit-and-run crash that critically injured two pedestrians Saturday morning, the Roswell Police Department said in a news release.
The crash was reported in the 2400 block of Roxburgh Drive at around 6:30 a.m., when police found two women in their 70s with critical injuries after they were struck by a passing car while walking down the road.
Police said the accused, Gerardo Ordaz, fled the scene without rendering aid or calling 911. He was caught with the help of crash evidence left at the scene and license plate readers in the area, which allowed investigators to identify Ordaz and his white 1996 Honda Civic later that day in Gwinnett County, police said.
