Roswell Police Shooting Injures Man Accused Of Fighting Officer
The Roswell officer unsuccessfully tased the "suspicious" man before shooting him, police said.
ROSWELL, GA — A man accused of rushing an officer was injured in a police shooting Wednesday morning in the 1000 block of Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell Police said.
The officer was on patrol around midnight when he encountered the man, who the officer deemed suspicious, police said.
The man immediately rushed the officer by his car, and a fight occurred, police said. During the fight, the officer unsuccessfully tased the man before shooting him, police said.

Aid was rendered, and the man was taken to a hospital in stable condition, police said. The officer was not injured in the incident, police said.
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is overseeing the probe in the case.
