Roswell Suspends Bar's Alcohol License
An employee was accused of selling alcohol to an undercover cop past the 2 a.m. cut-off time outlined in the city's ordinance.

ROSWELL, GA — A Roswell bar will be unable to sell alcohol on its premises until 2019, as the City Council at its Nov. 13 voted unanimously to suspend the alcohol license for Cancun Bar & Grill.
The license will be suspended for 60 days, beginning Nov. 14 and running through Jan. 12, 2019. Roswell added there will be an additional period of 26 days with no alcohol sales because the current license holder doesn't work at the facility and the application can't be considered until the Feb. 7, 2019, Alcohol Beverage License Board hearing
All alcohol has been removed from the bar at 10479 Alpharetta Street #19 during the suspension period. The case stems from the establishment allegedly violating the city's ordinance when an employee sold a drink to an undercover officer around 3:30 a.m. May 11.
