Roswell Teen Wins National Indian Pageant
Crystal Favorito, 16, who attends Centennial High School, has won three crowns and six titles in the three pageants she has entered.
ROSWELL, GA — A 16-year-old Roswell teenager has won the national Miss Teen Bharat pageant. Crystal Favorito, the former Miss Teen India Georgia and runner-up to the Miss Teen India USA title, has won three crowns and six titles in the three pageants she has entered.
The Dec. 9 Miss Teen Bharat pageant included segments for American evening gowns, talent, Indian attire and a question and answer period for finalists. Each participant must have at least one parent of Indian heritage to qualify.
Crystal performed a traditional Kathak dance for her talent segment. She is a trained classical Indian dancer and will receive a bachelor’s degree in the art next year.

Crystal is a junior at Centennial High School where she is co-captain of the fencing team. She will graduate a year early and currently has a 101.2 numerical grade point average.

Crystal aspires to be a neurosurgeon. She interned last summer in rural India for a hospital where she observed surgical procedures, treated minor fractures and gave immunizations. During the summer, Crystal studied abroad in India where she taught English to students from low income families. She is certified in basic life support as a member of the student HOSA health care organization.
