Roswellians Gain Economic Development Skills

Roswell Downtown Development Authority members Monica Hagewood and Charles McMillan were among the recent graduates of the Board of the Georgia Academy for Economic Development training program. 

Class participants represented a number of professional and non-professional economic development fields, including elected officials, public servants, business leaders, educators, and social service providers from 10 counties in Metro Atlanta. 

The Academy provided each of the graduates an opportunity to gain a unique understanding of the complexities of economic and community development on the local, regional, and state levels.

Hagewood is the chairperson and McMillan is a members of the development authority, a body appointed by the Roswell City Council to promote the redevelopment and growth of the city's central business district.
