Here are the top three stories today in Roswell:

  1. A theft of $1,000 in cash was reported on March 14 at the Wells Fargo ATM on Alpharetta Highway. A woman reported that a man approached her asking for help with the ATM. The woman declined then rolled up her car window. She said the man then swore at her and somehow “manipulated” the ATM machine. He was able to take $1,000 from her account then flee to a car and leave. Officers searched the scene and didn't find any evidence. (appenmedia.com)
  2. The University of Notre Dame is hosting their 2024-2025 football recruits this weekend. One of those recruits was Roswell, Georgia's own, Anthonie Knapp. Knapp is a senior and offensive lineman at Roswell High School. He visited the Fighting Irish on Friday, March 24. Anthonie Knapp was recruited by Joe Rudolph who was previously with Virginia Tech's program. Notre Dame says that Knapp is one recruit that is "worth keeping an eye on." It was a great opportunity to get more familiar with the team and coaches. (si.com)
  3. April is just around the corner and that means the kickoff of Alive in Roswell is just around the corner as well. Alive in Roswell will return on Thursday, April 20 in downtown. This family-friendly event runs every third Thursday from 5:00 PM-9:oo PM. from April to October and is filled with food, music and fun. Gate City Brewing Company and Top Job Beverage and Events will be sponsoring this year's festival along with the City of Roswell. The city will also offer a free trolley ride service from common parking sites such as City Hall. (appenmedia.com)
