Help Seniors Stay Warm in Winter

Gwinnett County Senior Services along with the Friends of Gwinnett County Senior Services and the Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services are joining forces to offer seniors in our community heating assistance from Project A.W.A.R.E. (Added Warmth Assistance for Residences of our Elderly).

Gwinnett County fire stations are currently accepting new portable electric heaters through February 28, 2012. These heaters will be collected from the stations and delivered to needy seniors in the community.

To be eligible for a heater a senior should be ages 60 and older, Gwinnett County residents and should be undergoing a financial hardship.
