June is National Adopt a Shelter Cat Month

Each spring during “kitten season,” thousands of newborn kittens join the millions of cats already in shelters across the country.  This is why the American Humane Association designated June as “National Adopt A Shelter Cat Month”.  This means Gwinnett County Police Department’s Animal Welfare & Enforcement Center has many kittens available for adoption, in addition to all the mellow, older cats and everything in between!  The shelter staff are ready to help you adopt your very first cat – or to bring home a friend for another pet.

Due to the overflow of cats, the shelter is running an “Adopt Two Special” on any kitten or adult cat.  The total charge for adopting one cat will be $30.00. This includes the spay/neuter of the cat, first round of vaccinations and a microchip.  If you adopt two kittens or cats, the total for both is only $40.00.  This includes spay/neuter of both kittens/cats, first round of vaccinations and a microchip for each.  This special will continue through June.
