Would You Go to a Snellville City Council Candidate Forum?
Or do you think it's a waste of time?

Ever since qualifying week ended inΒ late August with six candidates running, it seems the whole city has been abuzz with election fever.Β
Rumors have flown around, candidates have spent endless hoursΒ knocking onΒ doors to talk with residents, and even an eligibility hearing was heldΒ to challengeΒ a candidate's residency in the city.Β
Despite all the activity, there has not been a debate, forum, or meet-and-greet with all six candidates in one room, nor has a similar meetingΒ been announced for the future.
With each of the three open council seats being challenged, it seems like this election season would be the perfect opportunity to hold a forum. It would be convenient for citizens to meet and listen to all the candidates and possibly cast their internal votesΒ in one sitting.
One could argue that early voting has started already, and it'sΒ too far into election season to have a forum. But what about theΒ independent voters who have not made a decision on who they're voting for Nov. 5? Or do you believe there aren't enough undecided citizens out there to care enough to go to a forum andΒ vote in the city council election?Β
So, we ask Snellville Patch readers the following question: Do you think it would be beneficial to the residents of Snellville if there was some type ofΒ public forum with all six city council candidates present? Would you go if there was one? Tell us in the comments.
