Storage Shed Catches Fire in Snellville Area

No injuries were reported during the Friday incident.

Gwinnett County firefighters battled a blaze Friday morning (Sept. 13) at an outbuilding behind a home in unincorporated Snellville. 

No injuries were reported from the incident. 

According to Gwinnett County Fire spokesman Capt. Tommy Rutledge, the fire on the 3500 block of Everson Rd. near Centerville Hwy. was reported by a passerby. 

Firefighters found the one-story, 400 square-foot wooden-frame storage shed fully engulfed when they arrived at 11 a.m. The fire was contained to the outbuilding was crews were able to put out the fire at 11:18 a.m.  

The outbuilding, which contained miscellaneous household storage, is a total loss due to the fire, but no damage was done to the main house on the property. 

The exact cause of the fire is currently undetermined. No injuries were reported.
