Applications Being Accepted for Suwanee Day 2013

Vendors and entertainers can seek to be a part of the 30th annual event.

Planning already has started for the mega-fest that is Suwanee Day 2013, and the city is accepting applications for the 30th anniversary event on September 21.

Again, the festival is expected to bring up to 50,000 people to Town Center Park, for entertainment, vendors and other activities, according to a city news release.

Nearly 200 vendors display and sell handmade arts and crafts, or offer various foods. Deadline for exhibitor applications is June 1, and exhibitors are chosen by a jury process.

Also, Suwanee Day means that up-and-coming performers along with established favorites take to the main festival and children's stages. The deadline for entertainment applications is May 15.

Paula Chambers, who exhibited in 2012 as J&P Art Glass, noted in the release: "It's the best-run show that I do. The volunteers and staff go out of their way to accommodate any and all requests."
