How did Spiced Right Ribhouse fare in its latest health check?

Spiced Right Ribhouse Barbecue on Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road had some violations noted on its latest health check by the East Metro Health District, which serves Gwinnett, Newton and Rockdale counties.

The restaurant scored an "80/B" in an inspection on March 11, according to the report.

  • Raw shell eggs, raw bacon above puff pastry in the walkin cooler. Unwashed potatoes stored above diced potatoes in the walkin cooler. Unwashed lemons stored above butter, washed/ready-to-eat lettuce in the walkin cooler. ...Β  Corrected On-Site. Β Repeat Violation.
  • Uncovered ready-to-eat lettuce, made in house coleslaw dressing, cooked turkey, cooked beef in the walkin cooler. Foods were covered at the time of inspection. Cover foods in storage to protect from overhead contamination. Β Corrected On-Site. Β New Violation
  • Grease/food buildup on the cookline equipment. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be cleaned at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil residues. Nonfood-contact surfaces of equipment shall be kept free of an accumulation of dust, dirt, food residue, and other debris. New Violation.
