Suwanee Woman Arrested on Marijuana Charges; Her Child Released to Relative
Three adults and two juveniles were on the scene at a Duluth apartment complex.

A Suwanee woman was among those arrested on marijuana charges in February, and her child was one of the juveniles who was released to another adult by Gwinnett Police.
According to Gwinnett Police records, Sabrina Reyes, listed with a Cape Courage Way address, was arrested Feb. 10 on marijuana possession charges. She was among those arrested at an apartment complex in Duluth, where police found marijuana plants and paraphernalia inside a unit where Reyes and some others apparently were living.
Police conducted a "knock and talk" at the apartment. After police knocked four times on the door and identified themselves, someone answered. Police immediately noted "an overwhelming smell of marijuana" coming from the apartment.

Reyes and two other adults, one being the father of her child, were in the apartment, as well as two juveniles, one being Reyes' son.
Eventually, police found 13 marijuana plants, as well as dry seeds. There also was evidence of plants being grown in the apartment. In two bedroom closets, police found evidence of marijuana growing apparatus. This included foil covering the walls to reflect light, as well as an "electrical system" to provide light for growing the plants.

Reyes told police that she had lived at the apartment since the first of the year. Her son, who is 2 years old, stayed in her bedroom with her. She also said that she had been trying to move because of the situation with the marijuana.
Reyes told police that she had not used marijuana since she was pregnant with her son.
Police released Reyes' son and the other juvenile present to Reyes' aunt.
