1. Tift County to install fiber services for sports complex (tiftongazette.com) — Tift County is bringing high-speed fiber internet to the E.B. Hamilton Sports Complex in Tifton, improving security cameras and adding Wi‑Fi for visitors. Commissioners unanimously approved partnering with TruVista, using SPLOST funds for the roughly $6,600 installation and covering a modest monthly fee for a 1GB connection. The upgrade is part of broader improvements at the popular facility.
   

2. Tifton Police arrest man wanted for questioning in Albany stabbing death murder investigation (southgatv.com) — Tifton Police recently arrested a man at the center of a local vehicle chase who is wanted for questioning in a fatal stabbing case out of Albany. Officers stopped him days after they first pursued the victim’s SUV through Tifton. He now faces multiple local traffic and fleeing charges while Albany authorities determine his status in their homicide investigation.
   

3. Second officer injured in Tifton officer-involved shooting back home (walb.com) — Both Tifton Police Officer Jerry Fulford and Detective Michael Gaskins are now back home recovering after being shot during a Dec. 5 warrant service that led to a standoff in Tifton. Cordele police and several regional agencies helped welcome Fulford home with a show of support, as the community continues to rally around the injured officers and their families.
   

4. Blue Devils rally for win over Lee County, 64-55 (tiftongazette.com) — Tifton fans saw a big comeback as the Tift County Blue Devils erased an early double‑digit deficit to beat Lee County 64–55 at home. Despite foul trouble, especially for standout Kaden Lawson, key contributions from Andrew Connell and Ben Hill helped swing momentum. The Blue Devils now look ahead to hosting Coffee on December 12.
   

5. Meet UGA's 2026 Bulldog 100 (uga.edu) — Two Tifton firms, Scarbor Land Planning and The King Firm, have been named to UGA’s 2026 Bulldog 100 list of fastest-growing alumni-led businesses. They join 83 other Georgia companies and honorees from nine additional states, all recognized for strong three-year growth and community impact.
