Local businesses like Toccoa-Ace Hardware also chipped in raffle prizes, helping raise a total of $9,743 for children in need.
   

• Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals Series Announces Loyalty Program and Unveils 2026 Schedule - St. Louis Racing (stlracing.com) — Toccoa racing fans can look forward to the Southern Nationals Series returning to Toccoa Raceway on July 19, 2026, with a $10,071-to-win feature. The two-week tour will barnstorm through several Georgia tracks, add a new loyalty program for drivers, and put more than $355,000 in total prize and bonus money on the line.
   

• 5 St. Mary's Colleagues From Across Region Awarded Nursing Education Scholarships (athensceo.com) — A Toccoa resident, Macy Parker, has been awarded a Marilyn Brown Nursing Scholarship to support her studies toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing while she works as a patient care technician at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital. She’s one of five St. Mary’s colleagues across Georgia receiving $2,500 each to advance their nursing education and continue serving local communities.
