• Proposals to improve Hwy. 80 released, GDOT seeking feedback (wtoc.com) — State transportation officials have unveiled several proposals to improve safety and traffic flow on Highway 80 as it runs through Tybee Island, and they’re asking locals for feedback. Ideas include a roundabout at Highway 80 and Tybrisa Street to better protect pedestrians and cyclists, ease bus and delivery truck turnarounds, and reduce cut-through traffic on Inlet Avenue and 17th Street after hundreds of crashes in recent years.
