“Burger Tap is a marriage between gourmet and fast food,” owner Sam Hyon said. “We’ve paid attention to every possible detail. Our methods of preparation and flavor profiles offer restaurant quality in a fast-casual setting.”

Executive chef Sean Park said he and owners of Burger Tap searched the country for “the best fast-casual burger” but found themselves “underwhelmed by taste and overwhelmed by decisions.”

“Should my burger be made of beef, bison, turkey or lamb? On a white, wheat or gluten-free bun? And with which cheese, topping, sauce, jam or relish? As a chef, I understand the balance of sweet, savory and different textures and have put together four perfectly balanced burgers,” Park said.

There is no firm date set for the opening of the restaurant, but owners estimate it will open by the end of November.

Burger Tap will be located at 1409 N. Highland Ave. in the former space occupied by Caramba Café.
