
The CEO of Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. and his family donated $1 million to Emory University to benefit health sciences, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
CEO John Brock, his wife Mary and their three children donated $500,000 to the School of Medicine, which will start the John and Mary Brock Diagnostics and Discoveries Fund to Benefit Patients, the ABC reported.
The money will help researchers and doctors "bring nanotechnology discoveries from the lab to the clinic more quickly" and fund grants aimed at studying vascular disease.

The Brocks donated $500,000 earlier this year to start the Brock Family Child and Adolescent Mood Disorders Program Fund, which will help treat uninsured patients.
