DBA Property Owner Offers Reward for Info About Vandalism

Police searching for man in early 20s

The owners of the shopping center at N. Highland Avenue and Amsterdam Avenue are offering a $200 reward to anyone who can provide more information about recent vandalism at .

In the early morning hours on Tues., Oct. 11, and ripped metal beer signs off the walls, took down a Florida Gators flag and tore down another banner. The man also caused significant damage to the fence around the property and the flagpole outside the restaurant, according to several reports.

Atlanta Police are still searching for a man in his early 20s that they believe is responsible for $600 worth of damage to the restaurant and property.

Video surveillance caught the man entering the restaurant and tearing the signs off the walls.

“While this act was portrayed on television news as an act of drunken misbehavior, it really was more of an act of violence,” Scott Stern, managing member of Highlands Real Estate, which owns the shopping center. “I believe that if this individual had encountered someone during his rampage, serious harm would have befallen the unsuspecting victim.”
