Gardner to be Honored by St. Jude’s

Representative Pat Gardner will be honored next month at an event organized by St. Jude’s Recovery Center.

Gardner, who is entering her tenth year as a state representative, will be recognized for her support for the mental health field.

She has been a strong advocate to get all children in the state of Georgia healthcare coverage, among other statewide issues.

Gardner will be honored at the Voices of Recovery Luncheon event on Wed., Sept. 28, at The Atlanta History Center. Best-selling author Augusten Burroughs, who wrote Running with Scissors, will be the keynote speaker at the luncheon.

Tickets are $125 and the event is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
