Inman Principal: ‘We will make it successful’
Inman principal Paula Herrema talks about the possibility of a grade six academy
Parents from Grady High School feeder schools met Monday afternoon at expecting to hear from Karen Walden, the superintendent of instruction for Atlanta Public Schools.
Walden failed to attend the meeting due to a previous appointment that ran late, so parents and administrators discussed redistricting amongst themselves.
The group at the Inman Middle School local school council meeting talked about what a grade six academy would mean for Inman, including discussion about curriculum, logistics of an off-site academy, how gifted classes would be offered and the layout of the school.

Questions about curriculum were the most common, and parents asked Inman principal Paula Herrema to share her thoughts about a grade six academy.
“Whatever my opinion might be, ultimately we are going to support whatever the superintendent decides,” Herrema said.
