Manuel's Closed All Day Wednesday For Movie Work

A film crew will take over the watering hole on Wednesday. The tavern will reopen as usual on Thursday.

Regulars of Manuel's Tavern will need to find a new second home on Wednesday.

The venerable watering hole will be closed because a movie crew leased the building for the entire day.

A Facebook posting didn't provide the name of the movie and the guy who answered the phone at the bar didn't know either.

Manuel's reopens as usual on Thursday. Here's the information Manuel's put on Facebook.

No need for alarm or concern.

This Wednesday April 24, Manuel's will be closed for one day. We have leased the entire Manuel's property to a movie crew for filming.

Being closed and paid for it does not happen often and it allows an opportunity to give all employees a paid day off. This event also gives a little help to the checkbook.

This is not an usual event for Manuel's but being closed all day and for a popular film is unique. This film is another really neat event that adds to our history, it is my hope that long term this helps build more business.

If you were wondering what other movie filming took place at Manuel's it was "U.F.O. Target Earth". This film is available online and is a hit with people who enjoy really really bad science fiction movies. My father (Manuel) and brother (Greg) are in it if that tells you anything.

I hope being closed does not inconvenience anyone too badly. We will be open on time and as usual on Thursday.

Thanks for your understanding.
