Virginia-Highland Food Truck Wednesdays Unlikely to Return in 2012
Organizers cite permitting issues
on Wednesday evenings will not return in 2012.
According to a Facebook post Tuesday by Main Street Parking, the organizers of Food Truck Wednesdays, "permitting issues and other unforeseen circumstances" will keep food trucks from visiting the neighborhood this summer.
The weekly event across from in the parking lot on the corner of N. Highland Avenue and Briarcliff Place kicked off in June 2011 and ran through fall.

The food trucks were widely popular among residents, though some restaurant owners disliked the event and complained about loss of revenue on Wednesdays.
