Four men reportedly robbed pedestrian early Saturday morning

A woman was robbed at gunpoint near early Saturday morning, according to a post on the VaHi Security Patrol website.

The woman told police that four men in a van pulled up next to her as she was walking along the 1300 block of N. Highland Avenue just after 1 a.m. Saturday morning.

According to the post on the FBAC website, a man “pointed a shotgun in her face and told her ‘give me everything.”’

The men sped off after the victim gave them her purse, the report said.

A patrol officer that arrived at the scene said “he noticed a black colored van (GMC Safari van) traveling northbound on Lenox Rd.” a few minutes before the report of the robbery. The officer said he saw the van “turn quickly” onto a street off Lenox Road and tried to follow but failed.

An Atlanta Police Department spokesman said no arrests have been made in connection with the robbery as of Monday afternoon.
