Cops: Father Punches Juvenile Daughter in Powder Springs

The incident occurred Saturday.

A Marietta man is accused of hitting his daughter in the face with his fist at a Powder Springs home in the 1100 Midway Road.

Around 8:15 p.m. Saturday, Shmyron Walker is also accused of pushing the juvenile head first into a chair, according to a Cobb County criminal warrant.

"Accused did intentionally cause visible bodilyΒ harm to his juvenile daughter by hitting her in the face with his fist causing bruising and swelling around the mouth," a Cobb County police officer wrote in the warrant.

Walker was arrested Saturday on a charge of battery. He was released Sunday afternoon from the Cobb County Adult Detention Center on a $2,000 bond.
