Suspect Arrested in Connection With Double Murder Near Powder Springs

Police found two dead men inside a house on Clay Road between Powder Springs and Austell. A suspect was located and arrested Wednesday.

Two white males were found dead in a house near Powder Springs overnight.

A 911 call around midnight lead police to a small wood frame house at 3571 Clay Road, near Carter Road, Cobb Police said.

When police arrived, they found the front door slightly open and the two men inside with gunshot wounds. Neighbors said they heard gunfire Tuesday night.

As a result of their investigation, detectives arrested 26-year-old Charles Robbie Giddeons Jr. of Austell, in Columbia County, charging him with two counts of felony murder and two counts of aggravated assault.

Giddeons Jr. was in the company of his wife and two children when he was located. Cobb Police said Giddeons Jr. was apprehended with the help of the Columbia County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Marshal's Office.

Cobb County medical examiner's officials arrived about 5:30 a.m. at the scene. Graffiti on the walls could be seen through the open front door of the house, with the word "Playboi" inscribed on one wall, according to the AJC.

Police have not released the names of the victims.
