KENNESAW, GA -- Volunteers from the WellStar Health System recently donated $580,000 to the WellStar Foundation in support of local health care-based initiatives and programs, Patch has learned. More than 530 people gave of their time -- to the tune of 101,000 volunteer hours -- in respective gift shops or by hosting vender events.
The proceeds from the activities, along with singular donations, were put back into the community through an assortment of hospital projects and programs chosen by volunteers.
