2 Injured In Crash In Cherokee County

The crash was reported Thursday morning on Ga. 140 at Jep Wheeler Road near Woodstock.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Two people were injured Thursday morning in an accident in the Hickory Flat community.

The Cherokee Sheriff's Office responded to the collision around 10:30 a.m. Dec. 13 on Ga. 140 just west of Jep Wheeler Road near Woodstock. A preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Michael Sargent was traveling westbound when it crossed the center line and crashed into an eastbound-traveling vehicle driven by Danny Moulder, 66, the agency said.

Moulder, of Woodstock, was transported with non-life threatening injuries to North Fulton Hospital. Sargent, a Loganville resident, was treated at the scene for minor injuries and cited for failure to maintain lane, the Cherokee Sheriff's Office said.
