Chimney Blaze Sparks At Woodstock Home

WOODSTOCK, GA — Firefighters battled a chimney blaze around 5:45 a.m. Tuesday at a Farmington Drive home in Woodstock, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services said.

When they arrived, both Woodstock and Cherokee firefighters saw flames spreading from the chimney to the attic. They then searched the home to ensure no one was inside while other crew members worked to control the fire, officials said.

No one was injured, and the cause of the fire is being investigated.
