3 Cats Killed In Blaze At Woodstock Home

Several family pets were safely removed from the house aside from the three cats, Cherokee County fire officials said Monday.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Three cats died Sunday evening after a blaze sparked at a Brooksdale Drive home, Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services said Monday.

Firefighters arrived around 6 p.m. to the southern Cherokee home to see flames burning the structure, fire officials said.

While hose lines were being deployed, firefighters conducted a search and rescue. It was determined no one was home at the fire; however, three cats died as a result of the fire, officials said.

After extinguishing the fire, crews worked to salvage belongings in the house, fire officials said.
