3 Cats Rescued From Woodstock House Fire

No injuries were reported in the Cherokee County fire.

WOODSTOCK, GA — Three cats were rescued Sunday evening from a Valley Brook Drive house fire, according to Cherokee County Fire and Emergency Services Tuesday.

Firefighters were dispatched around 7:45 p.m. to the home, where the back of the house was on fire. Three cats were trapped inside of the home, fire officials said.

Hoselines were quickly deployed while firefighters conducted a search and rescue for victims and the trapped cats, fire officials said.

"The fire was quickly extinguished, saving the home from extensive damage, and firefighters rescued three cats from inside of the burning home," fire officials said in a news release.

Smoke was removed from the home. There were no injuries in the fire, according to the release. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
