- Local Patti Tressler received the 2022 Volunteer of the Year award for her outstanding service with ACE Academy. (Cherokee County School District)
- The Cherokee County Health Department will be holding a health clinic for Cherokee County students Tuesdays at the Canton and Woodstock Health Centers. The clinic will offer school-required screenings and immunizations on July 19, July 26 and August 2. For each uninsured or underinsured child, there is a charge of $60 for the screening and $21.90 for the immunizations. (CBS 46)
- The Cherokee County School District has named the inaugural winners of its Bus Driver of the Year award. Tamara Stephens, a 35-year employee, won overall as well as for the specific Cherokee Zone. Winners were named for each zone: Creekview, Etowah, River Ridge, Sequoyah and Woodstock, along with one Special Education driver. (Cherokee County School District via Facebook)
- Woodstock Parks and Recreation is holding a series of classes on beehive maintenance on July 18, August 22 and September 19, Shannon Sorescu, a beekeeper for the Woodstock Community Garden will be discussing topics like care, pest treatment, mites and food needs. A registration fee is required and the classes are for residents 18 and over. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)
- "AMPED in the Park" will be held on July 16 and August 20 at the Northside Hospital-Cherokee Amphitheater. The free fitness series will be held monthly and is geared toward participants of all fitness levels. (The Atlanta Journal-Constitution)

- The Woodstock Farm Fresh Market will be open today and every Saturday until December 31 on Market Street from 8:30 a.m. - noon. (8:30 a.m.)
- The Woodstock Arts Sensory Friendly Performances are finishing up today with "James and the Giant Peach" at Woodstock Arts Theater (10:00 a.m.)
- The Cherokee County Animal Shelter is offering free adoptions today. The shelter will have a QR code posted on its facility door. To avoid physical lines, please scan the code to enter the "Virtual Line." You can view available pets online prior to the adoption event. (10 a.m.)
- A beginner's yoga session today will be held every first, third and fifth Saturday of the month. Please bring water and a mat to Reformation Brewery in Woodstock (10 a.m.)
- The Reeves House is hosting "Creative Corner: Exploration with Texture." This crafting event for teens and adults will include art using texture, painting, journaling and guided meditation. (10:30 a.m.)
- The free "Storytime Live! With Captain Marvel" event is going on today at the Gazebo downtown. Captain Marvel will read a story, pose for pictures and more! (11 a.m.)
- The Gifted Ferret presents an artisan wine tasting event today where you can sample six different wines, mingle, shop and dance. (5 p.m.)

- "Summer Fun Wine Therapy Sip & Paint" is at The Gifted Ferret today. Relax with friends and neighbors while sipping wine and creating painted crafts. A local artistic coach will guide you through your paint craft. (3 p.m.)
- A "James and the Giant Peach" performance will be held at the Woodstock Arts Theater today. (5 p.m.)
- Nicholas Edward Williams will perform as part of the Listening Room Series at The Listening Room on Main Street. (6:30 p.m.)
- MadLife Stage & Studios has some great, free performances on the MadLife Grill patio stage today:

- Downtown Woodstock: "Thursday, July 21st, is Family Fun Night! The Harry Potter Event will feature a free movie on the Woodstock Arts Event Green. The featured movie is "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." The movie starts at 7 p.m." (Downtown Woodstock via Instagram)
- Nextdoor Neighbor, Arnold Mill Rd: "We live off Tripp Road in Hickory Creek Subdivision, and our lot backs up to lots on Hendon Road. We had a coyote follow our fence line two days ago and was not at all fearful. It was during the day. He was spotted again today..." (Nextdoor)
- Hickory Flat United Methodist Church on East Cherokee Drive is hosting The Brigham Young University-Idaho Symphony Band on July 22 at 7:00 p.m. The performance is free, but all donations will benefit Ukrainian refugees here in Cherokee County through MUST Ministries.
