CCSD Early Release Scheduled For Dec. 21

Middle and high schools in the Cherokee County School District will have an early release day, as students begin the Winter Holiday.

CANTON, GA — Parents with children enrolled in the Cherokee County School District should know that the system will release certain students a few hours earlier on Friday, Dec. 21.

All middle schools and high schools will dismiss on a half-day schedule, as students begin their Winter Holiday break. School buses will depart early from the affected schools. Please note that elementary school dismissal will remain at 2:15 p.m., and preschool dismissal also is not affected.

The After School Program will not be offered at elementary schools, CCSD said.

The early release schedule for Friday, Dec. 21 is:

  • ACE Academy: 11:30 a.m.
  • Cherokee High School: noon
  • Creekland Middle School: noon
  • Creekview High School: noon
  • Dean Rusk Middle School: 12:45 p.m.
  • E.T. Booth Middle School: 12:45 p.m.
  • Etowah High School: noon
  • Freedom Middle School: 12:45 p.m.
  • Mill Creek Middle School: 12:45 p.m.
  • River Ridge High School: noon
  • Sequoyah High School: noon
  • Teasley Middle School: noon
  • Woodstock High School: noon
  • Woodstock Middle School: 12:45 p.m.
