Cherokee County Educators Named Apple Teachers
Teacher Kristen Brooks and network analyst Carol Dickerson are CCSD's first educators to be named Apple Teachers.
CHEROKEE COUNTY, GA - Woodstock Elementary School teacher Kristen Brooks and Cherokee County School District Technology Network Analyst are CCSD's first employees to be named Apple Teachers by Apple, Inc.!
Apple Teachers are recognized for their understanding of how to use Apple Products for teaching and learning. They have proven knowledge of using iPad, Mac, and built-in apps to enhance productivity and inspire creativity in their classroom. In order to earn the designation, an educator must pass eight online learning modules designed by Apple.

Apple Teachers are provided the opportunity to access additional Apple learning materials to help their colleagues discover the power of Apple tools in the classroom. The professional development program helps to facilitate the use of Apple devices to which students have access and can be tailored to all grade levels.
Ms. Brooks, a 22-year educator, also is a Certified BrainPOP Educator, an OSMO ambassador, a Seesaw ambassador, a 2015 PBS Digital Innovator Award recipient and is Apple Vanguard Certified.

Ms. Dickerson has worked for CCSD for 17 years; for the past four years, her primary responsibilities have been to configure, deliver, repair and train Apple Products. She is CCSD's Apple Foundations Trainer and the leader for CCSD's new Apple Vanguard Team.
Both educators will be recognized by the Cherokee County School Board and Superintendent of Schools at the October 13 School Board meeting.
