Cherokee Early Voting Begins Today
Here is the information you need to know Monday, Oct. 17.

1. Temperatures are creeping back up with a high of 85 degrees and a low of 53 with sunny skies today, according to the National Weather Service.
2. Eager to cast your vote? Well, the polls open at 8:30 a.m. for early voting and remain open till Nov. 4. They will be open daily on weekdays 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the at 400 E. Main St. in Canton for qualified county and municipal voters to cast their ballots early.
The will open Oct. 31 and continue through Nov. 4 for early voting, as well.

3. The Halloween decorations are creeping out and we want to see them so bad that we will pay you to post photos of them. Well, one lucky person will be awarded $200 for their holiday decorations. We are having a Halloween photo contest within the Georgia Patches. All the details of how to upload the photos, deadlines and how to vote are coming up at noon.
4. were crowned Homecoming king and queen at Friday night's game. Both said they were honored by their peer's selection to be this year's king and queen.

5. Congratulations to Spencer Jameson, a junior in Information Technology at Trevecca Nazarene University, who was named to the Spring 2011 Dean's List. This honor is given to students who have achieved a minimum 3.5 grade point average for the semester, and it recognizes the hard work and dedication of those students.
