Cherokee Man Faces Murder In Wife's Shooting Death
Cherokee County authorities say a man tried to shoot his 16-year-old stepson before fatally shooting his wife.
WOODSTOCK, GA — Authorities have arrested a man they say fatally shot his wife after trying to shoot his teenage stepson in a domestic dispute.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday said Kelvin Williams, 47, of Woodstock, was arrested in connection with the shooting death of Tenisha Williams, 48.
She was found dead Sunday night at a Daventry Crossing home, authorities said.

During the dispute, authorities said Kelvin Williams attempted to shoot his 16-year-old stepson before shooting his wife to death.
His stepson and another juvenile were not injured, authorities said.

Kelvin Williams was arrested on charges of murder, two counts of aggravated assault and first-degree cruelty to children, authorities said. He is being held without bond at the Cherokee Adult Detention Center, authorities said.
A motive was not revealed.
